MEET HOLLY

Studying Costume and Millinery at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Holly fell in love with delicate pieces and the intricate, handmade process required to craft them. With five years’ experience as a Couture Bridal Gown Designer, she started Holly Barker Millinery in 2010 and chose to focus on custom-made headpieces and accessories. 

Then and now, Holly is recognised for her professionalism, highly personalised and supportive approach, and attention to detail. She’s passionate about creating items that reflect the character of each person, crafting something sentimental they’ll treasure forever.

The Making

OUR PROCESS

Once you book a free consultation, you’ll chat with Holly and share your ideas. Together, you’ll explore colours, patterns, textures, materials, and more, and you can also try on sample pieces. If you already know what you’re wearing for your wedding or big event, it’s helpful if you bring that too (or at least a photo of it), so Holly can get a feel for the overall aesthetic.

To truly capture your essence in your custom-made piece, Holly will ask some questions to get a better understanding of your personality, style, and lifestyle. As Holly handcrafts your piece, you’ll get updates along the way and opportunities to provide feedback to make sure it’s absolutely perfect for you.
